LAST night, the police arrested about 50 protesters who joined a motorcycle convoy against US President Donald Trump’s visit to Malaysia.
The convoy, which passed the US embassy around 10pm, saw riders carrying Palestine flags and chanting slogans critical of US-Israel ties, including “rise Malaysia and chase Donald Trump away.”
They were stopped at a roadblock near Menara Tabung Haji, about 100m from the embassy, and ordered to walk their motorcycles to the Jalan Tun Razak police station.
The arrests came a day after 700 people protested at the same location ahead of Trump’s arrival for the ASEAN Summit.
Police had warned organisers not to proceed with a planned protest against US President Donald Trump’s visit near the Ampang Park MRT station tomorrow.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said the location was unsuitable based on intelligence and a joint security assessment, noting it is only 500m from the ASEAN Summit’s red zone and hotels for delegates.
“The rally will not be permitted. If organisers insist on proceeding, we will disperse the gathering and take action in accordance with the law,” he said.
Fadil said 1,000 to 1,200 participants are expected and urged public cooperation to ensure the smooth running of the ASEAN Summit, which is crucial to safeguarding Malaysia’s image internationally.
Meanwhile, a PN supporter on X, using the handle @Solisidtor (Siditious), has come under fire after condemning Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over the upcoming visit of former US president Donald Trump to Kuala Lumpur.

Siditious wrote that Anwar will be remembered as the only Prime Minister who would invite a genocide enabler, calling it a sad legacy.
However, another X user, @1305wnabhadi, responded by sharing an old photo of Siditious posing in front of a US flag with a congratulatory message to Trump during his 2016 election victory.
The post highlighted the contradiction, accusing Siditious of hypocrisy for once supporting the same figure he now condemns.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, The Coverage Media severely criticises PAS and its supporters for their hypocrisy in condemning the US while heavily relying on American products and technology.
It highlights their use of iPhones, Microsoft software, Google services, social media, and streaming platforms, calling out the contradiction between their anti-US rhetoric and consumer behavior.
The post mocks PAS’s stance, urging them to abandon American products entirely if they truly oppose the US, or admit their anti-Trump posturing is merely for show. —Oct 26, 2025
