THE National Patriots Association (PATRIOT) has expressed deep concerns over the mafia-style mob creation that is being relentlessly engineered to protect and embolden the crooks in Malaysia.
The non-governmental organisation (NGO) further condemned the act of politicians enlisting mobs to demand the release of convicts; using race-based or religious groups to fight for crooks; abusing the power of their office to stall investigations; or even using stolen money to engage expensive legal eagles to cover their dirt tracks.
“All these must cease immediately,” PATRIOT president Retired Brigadier General Datuk Mohd Arshad Raji pointed out in a statement.
“We therefore call upon the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the police top cop to marshal their strengths and execute their responsibilities with the future of this nation at heart.”
PATRIOT said its proposal came about following a recent Malaysiakini report citing former MACC special operations division director Datuk Bahri Mohd Zin who revealed how he and his team had been under tremendous pressure when they were investigating the SRC International Sdn Bhd case.
“That Bahri who played a prominent role in the SRC case investigation further exposed how he and his team members were slandered, threatened and offered bribes to stop their probe cannot be ignored, downplayed or swept under the carpet,” cautioned Arshad.
“If those in power fail to arrest in quick successions the thieving, abusing leaders and those fuelling the crooks, we fear that the hired mobs will definitely create a security threat in the country.”
“Likewise, if the battle against the power brokers fails or even slows down, patriotic citizens who truly care for the Federal Constitution, the monarch system and the people and nation will be driven out of desperation to take to the streets,” added Arshad.
Stressing the need “to purge the nation of all political Rasputins”, PATRIOT’s deputy president Datuk Zulkifli Mohamed who is a retired deputy commissioner of police, reminded how good men and women were sidelined and pressured by dark horses in the corridors of power.
“The last outgoing top cop said there are cartels hindering the work of good cops. PATRIOT demands that all the dark forces still deploying mobs of innocent, uninformed masses to cause friction, unease and rattle the ongoing honourable execution of the courts and hindering the work of patriotic civil servants must cease immediately,” he insisted.
“PATRIOT further demanded that every leader, elected representative and head of government pull up their socks, roll up their sleeves and march with all patriotic and concerned, law-abiding citizens to cleanse and free our Malaysia from the tentacles of the corrupted and corrupting”. – Aug 26, 2022
