Perdana Petroleum secures RM6.5 mil contract from Dayang Enterprise

PERDANA Petroleum Bhd has secured a vessel chartering contract from major shareholder Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd.

The deal, worth RM6.5 mil, will see Perdana chartering an accommodation workbarge (AWB) and an anchor handling tug (AHT) vessel for Dayang.

Perdana’s wholly owned unit, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB), accepted the letter of award from Dayang on July 14.

“PNSB shall provide the AWB and AHT vessels with crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for offshore related project,” Perdana said in a bourse filing today.

The job is expected to start from the issuance of the on-hire certificate in August this year, and will last for 60 days, with any extension of the charter period to be mutually agreed on.

The contract, said Perdana, was part of its strategic alliance with Dayang where the use of its vessels could be maximised and qualified to bid for more offshore maintenance works.

Perdana’s shares stood unchanged at 17 sen at 4.47pm. – July 17, 2020
