THE Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) is committed to maintain the public’s access to essential pharmaceutical products and services.
President Chin Keat Chyuan said since the Movement Control Order (MCO) came into effect, PhAMA has held a series of engagements with the government to minimise disruptions to businesses.
“The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) has been very supportive of PhAMA member companies who want to continue to operate during the MCO period.
“Miti’s guidance has enabled PhAMA member companies to strictly comply with the conditions set under the MCO,” he said in a statement today.
He added that the association, which represents 45 local and multinational companies, will work closely with Miti and other ministries to help Malaysia persevere through the Covid-19 crisis and rebound quickly once it is over. — March 23, 2020, Bernama
