A VIRAL video from KL Foodie shows that a KTMB (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd) train is being used for a party and it looks just like a nightclub. With the seats removed giving ample space in the cabin for customers to dance the night away, the video shows a happy crowd enjoying themselves.
However, some X users were not entirely happy with the circumstances.
Biar betul. Rupanya boleh sewa tren KTM pada waktu malam untuk buat party.
Pendapat saya ialah ianya tak salah jika boleh jana lebih hasil bagi KTMB pada masa malam tren tidak diguna. Janji tren dibersihkan sepenuhnya selepas party. pic.twitter.com/jst4nQaFWo

Celebrating its first anniversary, Pinkfish launched Southeast Asia’s first festive train, the Pinkfish Express at KL Railway Station on May 16. This musical journey marked a year since the inaugural Pinkfish Music & Arts Festival on April 30, 2023.
Over two hours, 120 attendees enjoyed city views and performances by local talents like Aidaho, BATE and Nahsyk, all dressed in pink.
“It’s been an incredible journey. We wanted to create something special for our supporters, taking ‘music that moves you’ to a new level,” reflected founders Rohit Rampal and Kesavan Purusotman.
The next festival is set for June 8, 2024 at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon.
As usual, there were negative comments on the decision by KTMB to rent the train for entertainment.
While an X user said this is acceptable if it brings more money to KTMB, others are attacking the company, saying next we could see the prime minister (PM) office too being rented for such purposes, though one can’t see any correlation between KTMB and the PM office.
Lepasni aset pejabat2 kerajaan, balai raya, tabika, pejabat pm pun boleh try.

There are obvious differences between an official building and a train car.
Additionally, some users added it would be proper for the coaches to be cleansed in the Islamic way, which is called “samak”.
Kenapa samak? Alkohol x tergolong dalam najis mughallazah

It also appears that the chairs and other amenities have been removed from the cabin.
KTMB would perhaps have a different set of rolling stocks for events like these compared to their daily passenger operations.
Moreover, a user claimed that alcohol does not fall into the same category of products that demand cleaning al-Shariah. – May 19, 2024
