LIVING in Malaysia, drivers are already immune to the nuisance created by the biker community, aka Mat Rempit. They ride on one wheel, not questioning the fact that motorcycles were created with two wheels for a very practical reason.
They ride with their hips resting on the seat and legs outstretched like superman flying, except they are not superman. Discounting the high risk of injury, some of these wannabe stunt men actually look good while they are doing it.
You can’t really go wrong when you look fit and your outfit is on point while breaking the traffic law. But what happens when the Mat Rempit in question was obese?
We are about to find out in a video post on X by netizen @mynewshub who showed a rather huge man attempting a signature Mat Rempit move on his bike.

Although his execution was flawless, netizens by the droves overlooked his ability, instead, heaping ridicule over his size.
For starters, a good number of netizens pointed out to his excess fats which will save him from injury should he crash and get dragged along the asphalt.
The comedy did not end there of course. Netizen @mrfirdausjailan said it was more noble for him to become a mascot for Mixue instead of an obese Mat Rempit.
“Is there such a thing as a flying puffer fish?” wondered @nazrihajiothman while @MuizHilmy asked if people have ever seen a manatee as a Mat Rempit.
“I always thought the roads had holes because of the lorry,” said a hard-hitting @yayxtt.
Then there was @am4_alterego worrying if the fat guy’s tyres might burst. Also, @syafiqlito claimed that this man was performing the stunt in Rawang.
The brief video, however, provided no details on the whereabouts of the huge Mat Rempit, so his claims could not be proven.
But if it was true, then the authorities should have an easy time picking up our boy. Alongside that, he could be made to perform some community service to burn down all that excess fat. —Jan 6, 2025
