WE Malaysians are already accustomed to the many pot-holed roads that have gone unrepaired for many years.
Complaints either fell on deaf ears or vigilante Malaysians took the trouble to fill up said holes with sand and stones.
Therefore it comes as a great but pleasant surprise to find Port Klang state assemblyman Azmizam Bin Zaman Huri coming down to the very stretch of downtrodden road that has received many complaints from the public.
In a video post on X by Panji Hitam Kuning, Azmizam could be seen berating Malaysian Public Works Department director general Datuk IR Roslan Ismail for not repairing the road.

Panji Hitam Kuning said that if this was the way the state assemblyman for Port Klang does his job, he has every right to continue for another term.
The road mentioned was a bend heading to Bandar Sultan Suleiman which he said received a great deal of complaints.
Even last week, an accident occurred where a motorist fell due to the hole and was crushed by a lorry.
Azmizam added that the repairs were due one year ago, and that Bandar Sultan Suleiman consists of about 45,000 residents who use the road everyday.
“Port Klang is the 11th busiest port in the world,” said Azmizam.
He further threatened that he will get a couple of container lorries to block the road as a means of protest. The director general will then have to either do the repairs or resign from his position.
Netizen Ben Rastafasia said it was useless to repair the roads since the damages were caused by the lorries.
If these heavy vehicles are not barred from using the road, the situation shall persist.
Rusydi, however, pointed out that this particular area is not within the purview of Azmizam of Port Klang, but Selat Klang.
Regardless of whether he is or not in charge of the area, this is a good initiative to better the lives of the people, unless all this is just for show to nab some political points.
