Powerwell ropes in Soh Wei Wei to drive sales, market leadership amid data centre sector expansion

BURSA Malaysia-listed electrical solutions innovator Powerwell Holdings Bhd has announced the appointment of Soh Wei Wei as its new executive director (sales & marketing).

Soh’s journey with the Powerwell Group began in 2006 as a marketing executive. His exceptional skills and dedication quickly propelled him through the ranks.

In the roles that he had held, Soh has overseen the execution of strategic marketing plans, managed marketing budgets and ensured seamless sales and marketing operations across Powerwell’s projects.

In 2012, he was entrusted with the position of sales and marketing director where he focused on expanding Powerwell’s market presence in Malaysia and the Indo-china region.

This was when he successfully established and led a dedicated marketing team to drive significant growth and strengthening Powerwell’s market position in those markets.

“Soh’s extensive experience and strategic vision in sales and marketing have been instrumental in driving our group’s growth and market expansion,” commented Powerwell’s executive director Catherine Wong.

“His appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening our leadership team and underscores our focus on achieving excellence and innovation in all our endeavours.”

Data centre synergy

The Powerwell Group has recently made significant strides in the data centre sector, a rapidly growing industry in Malaysia.

With major projects in regions like Johor, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, the group is capitalising on the increasing demand for robust data infrastructure driven by digital transformation and cloud services.

Malaysia’s strategic location, strong governmental support and state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure have positioned it as a prime destination for data centre investments.
