CHEF Wan Café’s highly popular oven-baked premium curry puffs will be made available for only 60 sen/piece (instead of RM6.90) for a limited time period in conjunction with the 60th Malaysia Day celebrations on Sept 16.
Café Chef Wan’s chicken curry puff stands out from the traditional deep-fried variety by being oven-baked to perfection, a technique that not only makes it less oily and heathier but also accentuates the rich, aromatic flavours of curried diced potatoes and succulent chicken.
“Celebrating the 60th Malaysia Day is more than just a date on the calendar. It’s a tribute to the nation’s unity and what better way to honour our nation’s milestone than with a treat that resonates with everyone,” commented international celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail who is popularly known as Chef Wan.

“Therefore, our special oven-baked Chicken Curry Puff represents the soul of Malaysia – diverse, united, and full of flavour. We’ve combined traditional wisdom with our professional culinary techniques to create something special. At the heart of it, it’s not just food, it’s a taste of home for every Malaysian.”
In typical Malaysian household setting, Chef Wan reckoned that curry puffs can serve as a quick snack or a wonderful side for afternoon tea.
“Flaky and crispy on the outside with deeply flavourful curried potatoes and succulent chicken on the inside, these curry puffs will likely disappear rather fast when served hot,” he added.
Available exclusively at all Cafe Chef Wan outlets, this special one-day offering will be made available from 3pm to 6pm on Sept 16.
For dine-in guests, each table may order up to a maximum of six Malaysia Day Chicken Curry Puffs per receipt. Similarly, for those opting for takeaway, each individual can order up to six pieces. – Sept 13, 2023
