A SELF-PROCLAIMED Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporter has a bone to pick with the Madani government for allocating RM25 mil towards the handling of abused children and implement faith rehabilitation programmes following the on-going Op Global on Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH).
The funding directed at the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry forms part of the RM2 bil allocation for Islamic affairs under Budget 2025.
“I pay my taxes which means I get less to spend for my kids but the Madani government sees no problem throwing RM25 mil for the cult children,” lambasted Hector of Sector 470 (@BigJoe470) in a post on the X platform. “The money, if any, should come from the GISBH’s assets worth RM52 mil”.

For the benefit of his Malay audience, Hector further contended that it would eventually cost RM62,500 per child to restore the faith (akidah) of the estimated 400 children who are believed to offspring of GISBH members.
“Maybe they are conducting faith recovery classes at a six-star hotel,” he teased, noting that he is well-aware that GISB’s assets “cannot be liquidated in one day because there are procedures for them (the authorities) to follow”.
“But at the same time, PMX (Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) doesn’t guarantee that GISBH’s assets will be used for the restoration of faith. Does this mean that others have to bear the burden of GISBH’s misdeeds? After all, GISBH is not poor either.”
Hector said this in response to a commenter who accused him of “talking like a fool” for assuming that assets belonging to GISBH can be liquidated in one day?
“As if you’re the only one paying taxes. How long has it taken to auction off all seized off assets from the 1MDB “scandal)?” the commenter had hit out.
To a thought expressed by another commenter that his social media post has ignored the future of abused children, Hector countered that the former had missed his point of “it’s not about why this is done but rather about how it’s done”.
“Why should additional taxpayer money be used when GISBH’s assets (seizures in progress under AMLA 2001 (Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001) or JAKIM’s (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) RM2 bil budget can easily cover the rehab costs?”
At the end of the day, Hector reckoned that rather than using taxpayers’ money to restore the faith of GISBH children, “it’s better to use the money to stage a continuous operation to confiscate the bikes and punish the Mat Rempit (illegal stunt bikers)”.
“At least we can reduce those garbage from troubling other road users,’ he proposed. – Oct 21, 2024
