I REFER to the various assertions circulating on social media that implicate my affiliation with any gangsters or political party based on photos that were taken out of context.
First of all, I categorically deny my involvement or affiliation with any of these gangsters and political parties.
As a businessman who sits on the Board of both listed and non-listed companies, it is part of my responsibility to build a positive relationship with various parties, including the government of the day, political leaders, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other business associates.
I also have to appear in public events with media presence where photos of myself and various guests are taken.
This is why there are photos of myself taken together with political leaders from various political coalitions, business leaders, other business associates and even prospective clients being circulated on social media.
I want to clarify that those were old photos that were taken during my usual business networking session.
As these assertions on social media have affected my reputation and character, I would like to put out a statement that denies all these defamatory remarks.
I will take the appropriate legal action against the parties who were responsible for such allegations and trust that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will take all the necessary actions concerning this matter.
I will leave the matter to the authority and put my trust in God for the truth to be revealed and justice to be served.
I hope that all Malaysians will condemn this brand of gutter politics together with me. It has no place in our country as we work toward rebuilding the nation. – Dec 8, 2022
