PropertyGuru Award recognises HCK white knight efforts

HCK Capital Group (HCK) was recently named the winner of the ‘Urban Revival’ category at the PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia, held in partnership with iProperty. 

The awards are designed to highlight the achievements of excellent companies and property developments, as well as exemplary individuals in the real estate industry.  

The awards were presented across 48 categories, decided by an elite roster of local and foreign experts as well as the people of Malaysia. An independent panel of expert judges provided their unbiased insights during the Live Judging Days that began in July 2023. 

The Urban Revival Award was given in recognition of HCK’s efforts in rejuvenating the once-ailing Remix 2 development in USJ1, Subang Jaya. It has since been rebranded as edumetro and is a mixed-integrated development in HCK’s education city series. 

In a statement, HCK proclaimed, “For HCK Capital Group, being a ‘white knight’ in reviving dilapidated buildings is truly impactful as we fulfil unfinished businesses or in this case help complete what others have bought as a dream and what was promised to them.” 

This commitment to helping previously stranded property purchasers has further boosted HCK’s credentials as a developer with an ethical business philosophy.  

Purchasers can buy with confidence knowing that HCK is committed to delivering on its promise, having seen it step in to help property buyers fulfil their dreams of homeownership after the fiasco that was the ailing Remix 2. 

HCK’s efforts in re-branding the development into the now-thriving edumetro also prevented the site from becoming an eyesore in the mature neighbourhood of USJ1.  

Its plans for rejuvenating the development include having SEGi College’s new campus as the anchor education component, ensuring a steady footfall of the young and trendy.
