A new retail group has partnered with an e-commerce platform to expand their footprint in airports.
E-commerce platform OURSHOP (which connects travellers to airport high-street and local retailers) has partnered with new retail group J&S Group to expand their footprint in Subang Skypark, Penang International Airport and Langkawi International Airport.
The strategic partnership allows both international and domestic passengers travelling through these airports to purchase travel retail items which are not available downtown through ourshop.com and collect the items at the respective airports.
“We are pleased to partner with J&S Group as OURSHOP is on a fast-growing journey to expand our footprint in the country and further strengthen our position in the travel retail market,” said OURSHOP CEO Lalitha Sivanaser.
“This partnership aligns with our strategies to support more local businesses by providing a platform to market their products online and provide a unique shopping experience for the travellers. This partnership also comes at the right time as we are able to leverage on Visit Malaysia 2020 and we hope it will contribute significantly to the tourism receipt,” added Lalitha.
“We see so much opportunity with OURSHOP as it increases the distribution and provides greater reach for our merchants,” enthused J&S Group CEO Suraj Menon. “Now travellers have the convenience to shop exclusive products at our merchants online and at the same time experience the store offline when they collect the items.”
J&S Group has the biggest retail presence in Subang Skypark with a number of stores such as Jet Set Go retailing branded luggages, Chocolate Box retailing imported chocolates and Flamenco retailing perfumes. In addition, the Group also operates Watch Stars and Chocolate Box in Penang International Airport and Luggage store in Langkawi International Airport.
