UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claimed that PAS was afraid of facing snap polls as it may lose a lot of seats.
“PAS now has 18 MPs and its president is worried that the party may lose many seats if the 15th General Election is held anytime soon,” Berita Harian reported Zahid as saying today.
Yesterday, PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang accused those who calling for an early general election of being power crazy and not focused on governing.
He added that the Government has more pressing issues to deal with such as keeping COVID-19 in check.
“Usually those who want to speed things up are power crazy. Those who are patient are not… (PAS) thinks long term.
“The ones who keep pestering Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to dissolve the Parliament are greedy. They are just thinking of themselves instead of the nation,” Malaysiakini reported him as saying. – June 11, 2022
