THE Kedah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will be lodging a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over claims that several high-ranking ministers, politicians and Government servants have received funds from Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB).

According to Free Malaysia Today, its information chief Khairul Anuar Ramli said he would lodging the report tomorrow and called for a speedy investigation.

“I also hope that those implicated, namely Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, Housing and Local Government minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and ex-minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman would deny the allegations made,” he was reported as saying.

Yesterday, UKSB’s ex-manager David Tan told the High Court during the corruption trial of former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that the ministers had received payments from the company. He also said he kept spreadsheet file of the funds given.

Tan also said that former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had received RM1.3 mil between June and August 2018, while serving as home minister. He also mentioned Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal of receiving funds but Tan did not specify the amount.

Soon after, Muhyiddin denied receiving any money from UKSB and welcomed the authorities to probe him on the matter. – June 18, 2022
