Report: No cooperation with “traitor” Muhyddin, Guan Eng says

WHILE former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is reportedly seeking cooperation from other opposition parties to take on Barisan Nasional (BN), it appears he has truly lost the trust of many after the Sheraton Move.

DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng stressed that he will not cooperate with Muhyiddin as he was responsible for the downfall of the Pakatan Harapan (Pakatan) Government by his treachery in 2020.

“Certainly, there will be no cooperation with him. Who can trust Muhyiddin again? We are not convinced because he did not keep his promises,” Mingguan Malaysia reported him as saying.

Echoing Lim’s sentiments, Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu said “No, I have not met him. The Pakatan coalition has not discussed this either.

“Personally, I don’t want to make any decision on this. It is up to the coalition.”

Recently, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that Muhyiddin had met him to seek assistance in regaining prime minister-ship.

However, the nonagenarian claimed he had rejected the Pagoh MP’s overtures and even called him a “backstabber”.

Similarly, it was reported that Muhyiddin had also reached out to Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with the duo also giving the former the cold shoulder. – April 3, 2022
