MAIN Market-listed plastic infrastructure products manufacturer Resintech Bhd welcomes the government’s emphasis on water infrastructure under Budget 2027, particularly the RM2.5 bil allocation for the national non-revenue water (NRW) programme to replace 1,900km of critical ageing water pipes nationwide.
Other initiatives include improvements to water supply infrastructure in Kelantan, the development of sewerage infrastructure in Kuala Terengganu and RM3.3 bil allocated for rural basic infrastructure, including clean water supply.
These measures are expected to support demand for piping systems, fittings and other water-related infrastructure products as projects are progressively implemented.
“The government’s allocation of RM2.5 bil towards replacing ageing water pipelines is a positive development for Malaysia’s water infrastructure sector.,” opined Resintech’s founder and managing director Datuk Dr Teh Kim Poo.

“We believe this initiative will support demand for piping systems and related infrastructure products as projects are progressively implemented.”

At the close of today’s (Oct 9) market trading, Resintech was up 1.5 sen or 337% to 46 sen with 10,400 shares traded, thus valuing the company at RM91 mil. – Oct 9, 2026
