AMID the seeming glorifying of plunderers (penyakau) by PAS in the name of justice for incarcerated former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, a pro-Madani keyboard warrior has listed out how much Muslims in Malaysia “have missed out” as a result of the RM50 bil debt incurred by the government from the 1MDB scandal.
For starters, Injang @Injang_Nation) contended that the RM50 bil is more than sufficient to pay salaries of the estimated 10,000 PAS-linked PASTI kindergarten teachers nationwide for 278 years at a salary rate of RM1,500/month.
“The current salary rate for teachers is definitely in the range of RM400-RM600/month,” he shared in a post on the X platform.

“Or to build 20,000 mosques/suraus in rural/remote areas (RM2.5 mil per mosque) or 5,000 mosques in urban areas (RM10 mil per mosque) or even 500 to 1,000 iconic mosques along the lines of Ubudiah Mosque, Putra Mosque, Zahir Mosque, Sri Sendayan, etc (RM50 mil per mosque).”
Likewise, Injang contended that RM50 bil could be used to sponsor “a million to 1.6 million Muslims to perform the hajj for FREE at a rate of RM30k-RM50k/person”.
“But because of 1MDB, the money has been wasted on illegal and useless stuff like alcohol, parties, porn*gra*hic films and lavish gifts for infidel celebrities,” asserted the digital marketer.
Subtly training his guns on the PAS leaders, Injang went on to estimate that RM50 bil from the 1MDB scandal could also be channelled to build 5,000 tahfiz schools nationwide at the cost of RM10 mil per school (currently there are 1,400-1,600 tahfiz schools nationwide).
“Or that sum of money can build 50-100 Islamic universities at a cost of RM500 mil-RM1 bil per/university (currently there are five to eight Islamic universities/institutes nationwide) or even 25,000 madrasah at a cost of RM2 mil per madrasah.”
Elsewhere, Injang reckoned that the RM50 bil hole left behind by the 1MDB scandal could have been better utilised for the following:
- Zakat (tithe) distribution nationwide for 15 years or more at the rate of approximately RM3 bil-RM3.5 bilper year.
- Build 10,000 Islamic/dakwah centres at a cost of RM5 mil each for the purpose of dakwah, education and community activities.
- Support one million Muslim students with a scholarship of RM50,000 per student or fund one million Muslim start-ups with a capital injection of RM50,000 per entrepreneur.
- Assuming a copy of the Quran costs, RM50, the RM50 bil will be able to facilitate the purchase of one billion copies of the Quran.
- RM50 bil can also help support all orphans in Malaysia for 130 to 260 YEARS!
“That’s the picture of how much RM50 billion could be used for the welfare and progress of Muslims in this country. But it was wasted just like that because of Najib’s misdeeds. Even then, the PAS lebai still insist on defending and fight for him. Truly disgusting and pathetic,” concluded Injang. – Jan 9, 2025
