Satire video tutorial on how to drive garners massive, hilarious response from netizens

ONE can only wonder how a simple video on how to drive your car could garner up to over 7,000 reposts.

But that was exactly what happened when a netizen shared a video on X, where a bored sounding narrator was teaching people how to drive their car properly on the highway.

It bordered on the satire because the instructions were so simple, yet very few people actually adhere to it.

The netizen added that the video was made specially for lane hoggers out there and that if everyone followed the points in the video, then driving on the highway would be smooth sailing.

The narrator who sounded like he was fed-up with our Malaysian drivers went on to point out the obvious that slow drivers should occupy the left lane.

The real joke, however, happens in the comment section where Malaysian netizens could be seen venting out their frustration on the terrible local drivers.

Netizen Dyrul said the video tutorial felt different from what he knew about driving.

Usually he felt that the middle lane was for recreational driving, the left lane for B40 income drivers to overtake each other while the right lane was reserved for the T20 income group to overtake.

Another netizen said, however, that the left lane was usually the place where heavy vehicles like trailers cut in.

Mexaze added, “my uncle usually said these lane hoggers are bandits and I wondered what the bandit was stealing? It appears that the lane hoggers are stealing our time since their selfish behaviour puts us out of schedule.”

One netizen said Malaysian drivers must be so weak-minded that a tutorial needs to be created to educate them.

Having driven on the highways of Boleh Land, we have to admit that Malaysians are very interesting people and that their uniqueness is often expressed on the road.

More often than not, however, we ourselves are among the perpetrators in which this video was created to address. – Sept 23, 2024
