Selangor MB chides PAS-PN for failures in its controlled states

THE Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari cynically chided the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration of the four states headed by PAS, asking why their folks are still flocking to Pakatan Harapan (PH) states to seek jobs.

He added that people under the administration of PN in states like Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah and Perlis known as the State Government 4 or SG4 should have already lived much more comfortably under the ‘ummah unification’ drive of the Islamists.

He said they should be earning high incomes comparable to residents in Tokyo, Dubai and Doha while PAS-PN pushes the narrative that a united Muslim community in Malaysia can solve problems and develop the economy.

The PH election director also said that Johor should have already become the Southeast Asian Shenzhen with the appointment of 10 new exco deputies recently, consisting of seven Barisan Nasional (BN) state legislative assemblymen, two (MCA) and one (MIC).

However, he said, people from these four states still choose to seek job opportunities and a comfortable life in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang – all three states run by PH.

“BN needs to realise this fact because soon they will try to be swallowed by PN. The signs of PN wanting to dominate BN are already there with the phrase ‘Perikatan Barisan Nasional’.

“On the other hand, PH proves that a unity coalition based on trust is a coalition guided by values, morals and determination to elevate the dignity of the rakyat so that Malaysia’s economy succeeds,” he said in a statement on Friday (July 24). — July 25, 2026
