MANY pro-Pakatan Harapan (PH) cybertroopers have expressed dismay at Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari for accepting the apology of his Kedah counterpart Datuk Seri Muhamad Sanusi Md Nor in a defamatory suit filed against the latter on the Klang River cleaning project.
Deeming the compassionate stance of the Selangor PKR chairman as foolish, they are concerned that it would backfire on the ruling coalition as Sanusi might spin such goodwill to his political benefit by telling “naïve PAS supporters” that the former accepted his apology for fear of losing the case.
“As a staunch supporter of PKR and PH, I hope the Selangor MB @AmirudinShari explains why he agreed to the accept Sanusi’s apology request,” berated BULETIN RMS (@RajaMohdShahrim) on the X platform.

“Very disappointed because this is considered a victory for Sanusi and PAS while the image of PKR and PH is being disparaged.”
In a subsequent post, the poster recounted the origin of the civil suit whereby Sanusi had accused Amirudin of being involved in a scandal with business tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan over a RM10 bil project related to cleaning the Klang River.
“The slander was widespread during the PN (Perikatan Nssional) campaign in Selangor whoch resulted in PH and PKR lose many seats (during the six states election in August 2023),” lamented BULETIN RMS.
“Despite Sanusi’s apology, the Selangor state seats which were seized by PAS cannot be regained with Sanusi’s apology before the judge. … I wrote this while holding back my emotions.”
Editor’s Note: To re-cap, the defamation lawsuit filed led by Amirudin against Sanusi was resolved amicably on Wednesday (Feb 26) after the Kedah PAS deputy commissioner issued a public apology at the Shah Alam High Court.
The suit follows a defamatory statement made by Sanusi on Aug 2, 2023 during the Jelajah Mega PN Best “Sayangi Kedah Sejahtera” event.
Another Madani backer rued that “PH’s softness in this matter is out of place”.
“The enemy is pressing us so hard yet we can easily reach out to them by accepting their apology,” penned Wan Hadi (@1305wnabhad).
Ni la masalah kita dalam PH ni. Berlembut tak kena tempat. Musuh tekan kita rapat macam nak mampos kita senang2 hulur tangan bagi maaf.
Sanusi balik jeneri cerita dekat orang kampung kata dia menang lawan MB S’gor di Mahkamah.
Kita terus jadi badut sampai bila2. https://t.co/Gm4Rwgamx1

When Sanusi gets back to Jeneri (his state constituency), he’ll tell village folks there that he won (a court case) against the Selangor MB. At the end of the day, we’ll forever remain as clowns.”
Fellow PH supporter Mr.Nazril (@Nazril_Iznil) has this to say:
“The lebai and walaun (slang for diehard PAS supporters) have made slander their main weapon in politics.
“Slander is their guarantee to remain relevant. PAS and slander are inseparable. Look at Razman Zakaria. Has he repented of his actions? The answer is NO.
Agree to Disagree
I’m totally agree on thisLebai dan Walaun menjadikan fitnah sebagai senjata utama untuk mereka berpolitik. Fitnah adalah jaminan mereka untuk kekal relevan. PAS dan FITNAH berpisah tiada. Lihatlah Razman Zakaria. Adakah beliau insaf akan perbuatannya?… pic.twitter.com/XMjSEZ9Hds

“The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ‘A believer will not fall into the same hole twice.’ (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim). Too bad YB Menteri Besar Amiruddin, your wrong call will cost us dearly.”
