THIS revision maintains the core message but enhances clarity and flow. A recent statement by PAS has netizens reacting negatively towards them.
It appears that social media users are showing a lack of trust in PAS as they have a history of tongue twisting.
PAS Selangor recently said it guarantees that it will not interfere with or change the lifestyle of non-Muslims if PN governs the state.
PAS Selangor Commissioner, Ab Halim Tamuri, assured that PAS respects the rights of all communities in Malaysia.
He emphasised that PAS, together with PN, aims to ensure the welfare of the people.
However, X users are reviving old PAS moments like in Kelantan where a non-Muslim woman was fined for wearing shorts.
Kelantan has been under PAS rule for decades now and the party is accused of not doing much to grow the state or bring sufficient development there.
The presence of a so-called ‘religious police’ is thus a reminder to others for some X users.

Another X user points out that this party aims to ban concerts and other festivals, which are popular among both Muslims and non-Muslims.
They argue that such bans would disproportionately affect non-Muslims, limiting their access to these activities.
Some non-Muslims state that the leader of PAS Abdul Hadi Awang made negative statements towards the Japanese festival, Bon Odori this year.
They claim that Hadi also wants to ban all the western influence in the country, while being heavily influenced by Arabic culture.
Social media users in Selangor favour the current government for preserving their freedom.
One user asserts that Selangor will never experience or vote for the “talibanism” observed in opposition-led states. – Oct 6, 2024
