Serba explores cashless parking system venture with Melaka state gov’t

MOVING out of the oil & gas (O&G) sphere, Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd is currently exploring a partnership in cashless parking solution with the Melaka State Council in Alor Gajah and Jasin.

This venture will be spearheaded by its wholly owned subsidiary Serba Dinamik IT Solutions Sdn Bhd (SDIT) which has developed and managed Qwik Pay which is deemed the latest ticketless and cashless payment system.

Among others, the Qwik Pay system will be able to address many hassles experienced by end users and parking operators, namely long queue, high cost on pay machine maintenance and cash notes rejection, according to Serba Dinamik’s managing director/group CEO Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah.

“The Qwik Pay system is trendy in that it facilitates dashboard reporting and real time transaction,” Abdul Karim told FocusM.

Qwik Pay works by issuing users a QR (Quick Response) code to make payment with all payments can be completed within seconds, thus making cash a thing of the past.

Moreover, the solution allows users to pay for parking, transportation, shopping, among others via a smart phone.

“That the Qwik Pay QR reader is integrated with current parking/merchant systems provides a seamless, hassle-free transaction between the driver/shopper and his next destination or purchase,” Abdul Karim pointed out.

From a client perspective, Qwick Pay is a smart parking solution that can reduce dependency on manpower, no installation or maintenance cost, elimination of a grace period or even season pass integration.

Abdul Karim said Serba Dinamik is pleased with its collaboration with the Malacca State Council and expects more to be done in terms of business licensing monitoring and application.

During the trial period with Alor Gajah State Council today, SDIT has demonstrated the process of Qwik Pay which impressed the council’s representatives.

Currently, Qwik Pay operates in several locations such as UMNO Shah Alam, the Anggerik Mall (Section 14 Shah Alam), Hospital Putrajaya, Century square (Cyberjaya), Pacific Place (Ara Damansara), Phileo Damansara 1 and Phileo Damansara 2 and Damansara Intan.

Beyond Melaka, Qwik Pay is exploring more opportunities in other Malaysian states such as Pahang and Perlis.

Aside from being a smart parking solution system, Qwik Pay also possesses several other features such as e-wallet service. – Oct 25, 2021
