SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM22.41 bil in the conventional system and RM15.10 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tenders of RM1 bil for seven days and RM500 mil for 14 days, respectively, as well as a RM1.7 bil qard tender for seven to 21 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM20.9 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM13.4 bil for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 12, 2020, Bernama
