SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM23.67 bil in the conventional system and RM15.15 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct four conventional money market tenders of RM500 mil each for seven days, 14 days, 21 days and 31 days, respectively, as well as an RM2.2 bil Islamic range maturity auction tender for seven days to 22 days.
BNM also will be issuing an RM1.56 bil reverse repo tender for 31 days and Bank Negara Interbank Bills (BNIB) worth RM500 mil for 92 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM23.2 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM13.0 billion for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 10, 2020, Bernama
