SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM22.98 bil in the conventional system and RM11.32 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tenders of RM1 bil for seven days and RM500 mil for 14 days, as well as two qard tenders of RM200 mil for seven days and RM300 million for 14 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM21.5 bil for a conventional overnight tender and RM10.8 billion for a Murabahah overnight tender. – March 13, 2020, Bernama
