Short-term rates to remain stable on BNM’s operations

SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.

Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM37.58 bil in the conventional system and RM29.72 bil in Islamic funds.

The central bank will conduct a RM6 bil range maturity auction tender for two days to 30 days, two Qard tenders worth RM3.8 bil for seven days and RM1.5 bil for 14 days.
