SHORT-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM37.24 bil in the conventional system and RM24.98 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct three RM1 bil conventional money market tenders for seven days, 14 days and 32 days, respectively, as well as an RM2.5 bil Islamic range maturity auction tender for seven days to 32 days and an RM1 bil reverse repo tender for 61 days.
At 4pm, BNM will conduct up to RM35.2 bil conventional overnight tender and RM22.4 bil for Murabahah overnight tender. – May 28, 2020, Bernama
