THE inability of the Malays to mind their “own freaking business” has made human rights activist and lawyer Siti Kasim fuming mad.
This is because they forget that their tendency to pass negative remarks on others “who are different in thoughts from them” could invite repercussions when their so-called targets retaliate with counter-strike action.
A case in point is by offering unpleasant comments on former Indonesian president Joko Widodo a.k.a. Jokowi and three fellow special Indonesian envoys to the Vatican during the recent funeral of the late Pope Francis – just because they were all donning the songkok.
Not only that the country with the largest Muslim population turned up to pay its last respect, one insensitive Malaysian digital creator has the indecency to pass some distasteful remarks on Jokowi whom he alleged to be “reciting the Al-Fathihah” for the late Pope Francis.
“The foolish Malaysian netizen whose own level of religious knowledge is dubious want to show off his stupidity to the entire world only for Malaysia’s own reputation ended up getting smeared,” Siti Kasim lashed out in her latest YouTube rant.
“They thought songkok is an exclusive headgear for Muslims … this is the problem with the Malays who will link the way one dresses to the person’s religion.
“Don’t meddle in the affairs of others when there are many things not right in your own backyard. … As a tit-for-tat outcome, our PMX gets his fair share of humiliation for your sinister action have invited negative reaction.”
Tidak membenarkan jokowi ini cara berdoanya untuk non muslim, tapi kata katanya yg generalisir “pelik orang Indon, bodoh” hanya karna 1 orang itu salah.
gua belum pernah liat org indo bilang “aneh malaysia semua bodoh & gay” hanya karna mantan PM kalian itu keciduk GAY https://t.co/veT2gr1JTz pic.twitter.com/75olT8KrWn

Your stupidity embarrasses Malaysia
Elaborating further, the Orang Asli advocate alluded to having been partially shamed as “I’ve to admit they (smart aleck netizens) belong to my race”.
“This is a big shame that has to be endured by Malaysia as your post on X, YouTube or Facebook is accessible worldwide … In Indonesia, people who wear the songkok and look like Malays can be either Hindus or Christians,” Siti Kasim lashed out.
“This must be due to the process of brainwashing and indoctrination that songkok is exclusively a Muslim headgear.
“Just refrain from poking your nose, finger and toe of the affairs of others if your knowledge is shallow or if you’ve low IQ … You may hide behind a fake social media identity but people can trace you to the wormhole these days.”
Earlier, Siti Kasim took a swipe at the two PAS leaders who rocked Malaysia’s cordial bilateral ties with its southern neighbour Singapore by having interfered in the Singaporean political affairs.
“Such attitude is beyond help … That they nonchalantly call on Singaporean Malays to vote on racial and religious lines has led to the Singaporean PM having to issue a statement to tell off the duo.
“Of course, the Singaporean PM wouldn’t use a harsh language but let me use it – ‘bug*er off’! I really can’t fathom what makes them feel that they’ve the right to intervene or that they’re super pious and terror in Islamic knowledge.”
Here’s a piece of valuable advice from Siti Kasim to her brethren who are always tempted to – consciously or unconsciously – pass nasty comments on others:
I use social media as a source of knowledge and to share my ideas but many out there use social media as if they don’t have a better thing to do.
Always ensure your own house is kempt before you start messing up the home of others … Start by ensuring that you bring up an intelligent family first before meddling in the business of others”. – May 2, 2025
