Siti Mastura could have made her genealogy blunder consciously to propagate discord within unity gov’t

AS Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad continues to hog the limelight as an overnight sensation with her flawed genealogical logic linking prominent DAP leaders as kin of communist leader Chin Peng and the late Singapore premier Lee Kuan Yew, it now appears that she has taken a leaf from Barisan Nasional (BN) campaign materials for the 15th General Election (GE15).

This follows a revelation by a PAS-friendly TikToker going by the name Suffi Kamari that the entire farce may be just another planned attack on the Madani government although to ordinary Malaysians, this is just a sheer waste of precious parliamentary time.

Badrul Hisham Shaharin who is better known as Chegubard, claimed that the campaign material is an official publication of BN as “it contains the names of the printer and publisher”.

He further included a few more names in the list: DAP’s Hannah Yeoh (Segambut MP) , Teresa Kok Suh Sim (Seputeh MP) and Tony Pua (former Damansara MP) as well as the mother of former Perak menteri besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

Through a web of relationships, Chegubard attempts to link them back to Chin Peng and Kuan Yew.

Perhaps, both Chegubard and Siti Mastura should include two other important names in the entire web: Wong Swee Chin a.k.a. Botak Chin and Shih Huang Ti, the first emperor in the Chin Dynasty.

Both Chegubard and Siti Mastura should not forget that recently Hannah Yeoh who is also the Youth and Sports Minister was commended by Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. By linking Yeoh with Chin Peng, are the duo aware that have indirectly implicated the open-minded and outspoken regent of Johor as pro-Communist?

Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad

This is how ridiculous the entire web of relationships is being played up by the Opposition. It goes without saying that they are bankrupt of ideas on how to be good opposition. This is all at the expense of taxpayers’ money when Siti Mastura tried to harp on the issue.

Assuming that they are indeed inter-connected, the question is, “So what?”

If after nearly one year of working alongside people like Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Hannah Yeoh and Nga Kor Ming (DAP’s Local government Development Minister and Teluk Intan MP), BN chairman and UMNO president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi insists that these DAP colleagues of his are hardly communists in their outlook, Siti Mastura will have a tough time defending herself.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his Cabinet ministers may not be perfect but the Opposition is equally if not worse. There is no way Malaysians can expect a better government out of these lawmakers.

Instead of wasting their time in the Dewan Rakyat, PAS MPs should prove their worth by offering ideas of how to re-build the country’s economy. But they appear more interested in de-stabilising the government of the day. – Nov 12, 2023
