SMTrack expands wellness portfolio through strategic partnership with Sri Lankan Tonic Wellness

SMTRACK Bhd, a provider of radio frequency identity (RFID) tag and other tagging solutions, has sealed a strategic partnership with Tonic Wellness (Pvt) Ltd, a leading Sri Lankan spa operator, which will enhance the offerings of its wellness centre at Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur.

Under the deal entered into with its 30%-owned subsidiary V Ultimate Sdn Bhd, Tonic Wellness will assume operational control of the centre by introducing its internationally recognised spa management expertise and holistic wellness offerings.

This includes implementing new standard operating procedures (SOPs), service packages and pricing for all massage and wellness services.

The massage wellness centre will benefit from Tonic Wellness’s proven expertise in delivering premium spa treatments, holistic therapies and personalised wellness experiences.

Founded by UK entrepreneur David William Swannell who brings a wealth of business acumen and strategic vision, and spa operations expert Ruby Tolentino Sanches who is known for her hands-on approach in creating serene and rejuvenating wellness environments, Tonic Wellness has established a strong reputation in Sri Lanka’s spa industry.

Its entry into the wellness sector through V Ultimate represents a forward-thinking approach to capturing new market opportunities and enhancing revenue streams.

At the close of today’s (March 3) trading, SMTrack was unchanged at 1.5 sen with 80,000 shares traded, thus valuing the company at RM20 mil. – March 3, 2025
