THERE is a desire within all of us for things to change when we make a complaint. But we must realise that action must be accompanied by technique. For a complaint to work, it needs to get to the right people.
Take it from a little boy who went viral for complaining to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during his visit to a bazaar that some of the toilets at his school were broken.
He sure knows how to get things done going directly to the highest authority in the country to fix some dirty loo.
In the video on X, Anwar Ibrahim could be seen holding back a smile while he inquired about the broken toilets, which were apparently from Sekolah Kebangsaan Long Jafaar.

More than just the comedy value, netizens also praised the boy for his courage.
“This kid is more beneficial than all the opposition,” said netizen @azfar0 while @BukanDatinEhem added that the boy could be a representative of the people.
“Even the kid is aware that the schools have toilet renovation under PMX’s programmes. Mission accomplished, little boy,” said @Iman_n_h.
Then there were several other netizens who pointed out that some people will not be sleeping well after the complaint.
According to @LofiRamli, the various departments and authorities will not be having their holidays this weekend.
Netizen @Jaiyen_nakal added that the principal of the school would be clapping his forehead when he watched the video. “I am dead. The student of my school complained directly to PMX,” he said.
Perhaps the winning comment goes to @hcsoon who remarked, “The principal thinks he could happily finish his time and retire at a school near his home. Later next week, he gets a transfer letter to Kapit, Sarawak.”
It appears the video of the child complaining is turning into a force of good for it prompted many other netizens to point out the defective public infrastructures they were experiencing.
On our part, we would like to congratulate the kid for his bravery and awareness of the issues of the current times even though it may be a small one.
After all, all the big achievements in life come from that first, small step. However, the kid may have skipped several levels of authority when it comes to complaining about the toilets. —Mar 16, 2025
