Sri Lanka central bank cuts key rates by 100 basis points

BENGALURU: The Central Bank of Sri Lanka on Thursday cut its benchmark lending and deposit rates by 100 basis points each, as it sought to counter the hit to the economy from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The central bank, however, kept the Statutory Reserve Ratio unchanged after cutting it by 300 basis points so far this year. – July 9, 2020, Reuters
