Study medicine at University Of Cyberjaya; live in edusphere

DOCTOR. Accountant. Lawyer. It used to be a joke that these were the only three vocations that existed in the minds of many conservative Asian parents.

This was again brought back into sharp focus with a recent media article highlighting the salaries of medical professionals.

The original social media post had a brief video clip featuring an interview with a consultant paediatrician who said she earned upward of RM60,000 a month, which got a lot of tongues wagging, not least among parents who still hold the above three careers as the ‘gold standard’.

Given the potentially handsome rewards in the private sector, there has been a recent surge in enquiries regarding medical programmes.

One such institution is the University of Cyberjaya which offers a number of medial programmes. Situated in the picturesque locale of the ‘Silicone valley of Malaysia’, the varsity’s campus is comfortably nestled in a development known as edusphere.

Part of HCK Capital Group’s education cities series, the mixed integrated development features an education element as the anchor tenant. The thought behind this theme is that having a large student population on site will ensure constant footfall into these developments.

Having a young and trendy crowd in the vicinity will be a boob for the retail outlets at each of the developments. Similarly, it will create greater demand for the lifestyle and residential suites in these education cities.

At edusphere, the residential components are represented by Covington, Foster and Northwood suites. Covington Suites and Foster Suites are two blocks of 18-storey service suites equipped with a fully-fitted pantry as well as air conditioning units in all the bedrooms and living room.

Note that the Northwood Suites is a 25-storey residential tower consisting of service suites equipped with a fully-fitted pantry as well as air conditioning units in all the bedrooms and living room.

Other expansive and lifestyle facilities include landscaped gardens, swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court, multipurpose hall and BBQ pit, among others.
