FORMER MUDA leader Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman finds himself embroiled in a string of controversies as he continues to make waves in Malaysian politics.
The Muar MP recent criticisms aimed at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim have drawn ire from netizens, weary of his relentless attacks.
Syed Saddiq’s decision to align with Perikatan Nasional (PN) could further tarnish his reputation, raising questions about his political future and alliances.
Former premier Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin affirmed Syed Saddiq’s support despite not being a formal PN member. The initiative, scheduled post-Ramadan, seeks to garner public backing for PN. Muhyiddin also addressed concerns about PN representatives lacking allocations, ensuring clarifications had been provided.
Pakatan Harapan supporters state that Syed Saddiq would join PN perfectly. They claim that the birds of the same feather flock together, implying that he is the same as other PN members.
Furthermore, those in support of the government add that now it is clear MUDA was a trojan horse.
Following that, the ideologies of MUDA vary vastly from Bersatu and PAS. It is unclear how they will get around working together to appease their respective supporters. Netizens are sceptical of PN as they were able to go on tour years earlier, before the 16th General Election. – March 10, 2024
