THE outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has driven accelerated development in medical innovations.
To support the public-health response to COVID-19 worldwide, the Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) hosted the Smart Medical & Biotesting Webinar on Oct 14 (Thursday) and invited four Taiwanese award-winning brands were invited to share their innovative technologies and solutions with the theme “Effective Biotest” and “Customised Treatment”.
Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute vice president and director of Biomedical Technology and Device Research Laboratories Dr Lin Chii-Wann said that the biomedical industry and medical services is moving forward from centralised to personalisation to fulfil the individual needs, and smart medicine care is believed to be the next wave that could change the world.
Today, the concept of 3D printing is taking the world by storm. The potential of 3D printing technology is endless, with particularly promising advances in the medical and dental fields.
As a result, the dental industry is going through a rapid digital transformation with digital workflows bringing increased efficiency, consistently high quality, and lower costs to dental labs and practices.
With that, Young Optics Inc. project manager Joanne, introduced their MiiCraft Prime series 3D printer that not only designs and manufacture 3D printers with advanced DLP technology but also provide a variety selection of materials during the webinar.
As MiiCraft 3D printer is built with industrial grade UV light engine and was feature with its high printing efficiency, accurate image size, and high uniformity, it could help users to produce parts with high accuracy and efficiency.
In that case, dental parts that produce by their 3D printers are highly customised and time-costing for users like orthodontists and dental technicians to produce.

Aeon’s products can also enhance this ability to fight medical disorders caused by aging and adverse environment.
