Taiwan Excellence: Showing potentials of a green future through technology, wisdom and innovation

TAIWAN Excellence has been a regular at ARCHIDEX and its booth has always been very well received by trade visitors.

It is back once again for ARCHIDEX 2023 with a strong lineup of 10 corporate brands for the event to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Centre (KLCC) from July 26–29.

This year’s theme is Green Living, and Taiwan Excellence will be focusing on technology, smart solutions and innovations.

Taiwan Excellence is confident that it will build upon the success of the previous years and create even more business opportunities this year.

Taiwan Excellence is the globally-recognised mark for product quality and the greatest honour bestowed on products produced in Taiwan.

Organised by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at ARCHIDEX 2023 is located in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) Hall 2, Stand 2L178.

Innovative products include a wide range of applications from building and office construction materials to living room and kitchen fixtures, as well as doors and windows fittings and storage solutions.

Dedicated personnel will be on hand during the exhibition to provide product demonstrations and answer questions. Limited number of free gifts will also be available daily for visitors.

To further the understanding of Taiwanese innovative technology and products among Malaysian interior design and construction industry players, Taiwan Excellence will be holding a product launch event on the second day of the exhibition on July 27.

The event will see representatives from three leading Taiwanese brands in smart technology and environmentally-friendly building materials introducing their products to the audience.

These featured products include Smart Dimming LC Window by INNOLUX that significantly reduces energy consumption; PDLC Smart Optical Film from BenQ Materials that is proven to shield against heat and harmful UV rays to combat the urban heat problem; and Auto Flood Barrier Shutter by San Jeou Building Material Industry Co.

Visitors who are interested in these products will stand to learn more by attending the talk.

Other products on display at the Taiwan Excellence booth include Star Awards winners at last year’s ARCHIDEX: YZTEK’s e+Autoff stove safety device, JLA’s Touch-Free Easy Installation Sensor Flush Kit, Medusa’s i-WaterProof paint.

And some kitchen & sanitaryware, like JUSTIME’s Kitchen Faucet with Pull-Out Sprayer, AWA’s kitchen 3-way kitchen faucet, ALASKA’s M8 Mini Anti-bacterial circulator, FECA’s Laundry net set with lid, and more.

Competing for sustainability

This year also marks the first time Taiwan Excellence is working with two Malaysian universities to hold the Sustainable Innovative Challenge.

Contestants will be working off building floor plans to find ways to incorporate Taiwan Excellence products into the buildings in new and creative ways in order to solve sustainability problems.

The two participating university departments are UTM’s Department of Architecture and UTAR’s Architecture and Sustainable Design Department.

The response to the competition was overwhelming and a total of 6 entries were selected and will be competing in the finals at the Taiwan Excellence pavilion on July 28.

The final judging will be carried out by a panel of experts including Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM) President Ar. Abu Zarim, Malaysia Green Building Council (MGBC) Council Member Ts. Dr Tan Sie Ting, and Building Materials Distributors Association of Malaysia (BMDAM) President Lim Chun Heng.
