Under Budget 2022, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz had announced that civil servants will be getting RM700 in special payment as a gesture of appreciation for their efforts in combating COVID-19.
The payment will benefit Malaysia’s 1.3 million strong civil service members. Government pensioners will be getting RM350 this month.
On that note, netizen Jy Jf said that Malaysians have a long way to go to understand the benefits of saving for rainy days as opposed to enjoying short-term pleasures.
