Teach for Malaysia partners YTL Foundation’s learn from home initiative

EDUCATION non-profit Teach For Malaysia (TFM) has partnered with YTL Foundation to develop online content for Malaysian students.

YTL Foundation on March 25 launched its Learn From Home programme, leveraging YTL Communications’ Yes network and FrogAsia’s content and digital platforms.

Under the initiative, parents can register for free Yes 4G SIM cards with 40GB of data and have access to learning resources and the FrogPlay Mobile App with more than 5,000 revision quizzes for free.

TFM fellows and alumni would be volunteering to work with FrogAsia to produce online lessons covering Mathematics, Science and English for Standard One to Form Five, TFM and YTL Foundation said in a March 31 joint statement.

The lessons would be tailored to address the part of the national school curriculum that students would miss over the next few weeks of school closure, they said.

These lessons would be added to the bank of English lessons already released by FrogAsia this week. The other content partner, Pelangi, has curated quizzes in FrogPlay Mobile and is also providing content for the FrogAsia lessons, the statement said. — March 31, 2020
