Tey assumes CEO role again at I-Bhd

PROPERTY developer I-Bhd has announced several changes to the board. In its filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company has redesignated executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong, 69, to non-executive chairman effective Jan 1, 2020.

Meanwhile, Lim’s wife Puan Sri Tey Siew Thuan, 66, has been appointed as its CEO again after she retired as CEO more than 10 years ago.

Tey was appointed to the board on July 15, 1999 and to the position of CEO on Feb 27, 2008. She retired as the CEO on Feb 10, 2009, but remained as executive director of the company.

Tey is currently spearheading the property development and property investment segments of the group where, in addition to formulating the strategic and financial direction, she also oversees the operation of these segments of the group.

I-Bhd also announced the retirement of Datuk Eu Hong Chew, deputy chairman/non-executive director, effective on June 25, 2020.

Eu was appointed to the board on July 15, 1999.
