Thailand suspends Cambodia peace deal after landmine blast

Thailand says it’s pulled out of a ceasefire agreement with Cambodia after a landmine injured two soldiers in a border province. The deal was brokered by the US. It’s aimed at bringing permanent peace, following fighting between neighbouring countries in July that killed at least 43 people.

Cambodia’s defence ministry says that for its part, it is still committed to the accord.
