MAYSTAR Beauty Sdn Bhd’s managing director and Neutrovis brand owner, Zayn Puah, and Anggun Kirana Sdn Bhd’s managing director and Himaya’s brand owner, Datuk KK Chua, were at Putrajaya yesterday (Feb 10) to make a presentation to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
Joining them was Neutrovis’ brand ambassador, Izzue Islam.
The trio brought with them 10,000 boxes of MDA (Medical Device Authority)-approved medical facemasks worth RM350,000 to be donated to the underprivileged, B40 group, residents of low-cost flats (PPR) and frontliners, among others.
This initiative by Neutrovis and Himaya was launched in spirit of the Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration – with the frontliners and the B40 groups in mind – so as to lessen the burden of struggling communities in unprecedented times.
“The reason behind our CSR (corporate social responsibility) efforts is to lessen the burden of the rakyat as well as the frontliners in this unprecedented time,” explained Zayn Puah.
Neutrovis and Himaya have collaborated to donate MDA-approved medical facemasks across charity organisations and governmental sectors to further help the efforts of flattening the curve.
Minister of Housing and Local Government, Datuk Dr Zuraida Kamaruddin expressed her gratitude at the gesture.
“The masks that are being donated are special because they are MDA-accredited,” she pointed out. “I hope this will be of help to the PPR residents and the B40 group.”
Neutrovis’ brand ambassador, Izzue Islam has been using his voice and platform to raise awareness with regard to staying safe and healthy aside from to collectively fight to flatten the COVID-19 curve.
“In spirit of CNY, we’d like to convey a positive message while sharing our prosperity with those in need; we shall sail through this pandemic together,” remarked Chua. “Let’s all adhere to the SOPs set by the government and avoid being careless for the collective well-being of our nation.” – Feb 11, 2021
