THERE are many mysteries to human behaviour that may never be fully explained.
Among them is a video post that captured a rather disgusting act, where a boy was caught pooping and peeing in the corner of a residential flat.
The location, judging from the video, appears to be a low-cost flat, so this is unsurprising.
People have often reported about offenders urinating in the lift. But turning the public space into a toilet is a different matter entirely.
But the boy’s toilet arrangements were considerably more adventurous than what most people would expect from communal living.

According to the person recording the video, the boy supposedly lives in another block and had somehow decided that Block J, far away, was the appropriate destination for an emergency bathroom visit.
The man behind the camera could be heard confronting and instructing him to clean up the mess.
His frustration was certainly not difficult to understand. More importantly, the whole fiasco raises an important question.
Was there no toilet at home? Or perhaps Block J simply offered better facilities — mailbox, ventilation and a convenient audience of residents returning from work.
But beneath the comedy is a rather unfunny point to make. Shared residential spaces only work when residents understand that common areas belong to everyone.
If residents need to start checking the floor before checking their mail, the residential flat has officially entered a whole new chapter of property management.
Forget about maintenance fees and sinking funds. The residents now need a poop patrol.—Sept 27, 2026
