The wait is almost over: Luckin coffee to soft open five outlets in Malaysia by end-January 2025

LUCKIN Coffee, the global premium coffee brand, has unveiled its plan to open five outlets across Malaysia by the end-January this year.

On Jan 23, Luckin Coffee will open its first two outlets at Sunway Pyramid and Menara EcoWorld in Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) while three additional outlets will open by end of this month itself.

This soft opening phase will allow the brand to gather valuable customer feedback and fine-tune its services.

Coinciding with the soft opening, the Luckin Coffee app will be introduced on Jan 23. Customers can download the app from Google Play and the Apple App Store or by scanning the QR code available at Luckin Coffee stores.

Designed to elevate the coffee experience, the user-friendly app offers seamless pre-ordering and cashless payments, hence a hassle-free coffee journey.

“We are thrilled to begin our journey in Malaysia with this soft opening, thus offering customers a first look at Luckin Coffee’s unique coffee culture,” commented Global Aroma Sdn Bhd CEO Dr Jeff Lim Chee Lip.

“With Luckin Coffee’s value-driven pricing and technology-driven approach amid Malaysia’s coffee culture which is growing rapidly, we’re confident that the brand will resonate with local customers.”

Dato Eddie Ong, a major shareholder of Hextar Industries Bhd, expects robust expansion to be underway with commitment to rapidly grow Luckin Coffee’s presence across Malaysia.

“We believe that premium coffee should be accessible to everyone and we look forward to bringing Luckin Coffee’s exceptional offerings to more Malaysians in the near future,” he enthused.

As a celebration of the brand’s arrival, newly registered Luckin Coffee app users will receive a welcome pack filled with exciting promotions, discounts and giveaways.

On Nov 29 last year, Hextar Industries through its subsidiary Global Aroma announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Luckin Coffee Holding Singapore Pte Ltd to bring the Luckin Coffee brand to Malaysia.

This collaboration grants Global Aroma the exclusive rights to develop, open and operate coffee shops under the renowned ‘Luckin Coffee’ brand nationwide. – Jan 17, 2025
