THE notion that former economy minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and his aide Muhammad Hilman Idham are ‘betrayers’ of the reformasi cause is not dying out that easily among the voters in Selangor.
Besides, these voters are saying they are voting for a Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the first time to get rid of a candidate who is associated with Azmin.
Hilman, representing Perikatan Nasional (PN) is contending against Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin from Barisan Nasional (BN) and Mohamed Salim Mohamed Ali, an independent candidate in a three-way electoral contest.
Previously, Hilman served as an aide to Azmin during Azmin’s tenure as the economy minister.

Moreover, user @FarisAlias07 stated that it is time to give BN a chance.

“Just vote, doc. Megat has been aiming for Gombak Setia for a long time but keeps losing to PH. This time, he’s negotiating with PH and they’re giving him the seat. This seat has been occupied several times by candidates from PR/PH like Dr. Hasan Ali, a PAS candidate from Sungai Tua, and Hilman from Klang. Let’s hope BN takes over this time 🤣.)
Whether the results will be in favour of the BN candidates or not, we are not able to predict. But one thing is sure, there is a trend among PH voters to give BN candidates a chance. If BN voters who are still loyal to UMNO for example vote for the BN candidate, his chances of winning are good.
Nevertheless, in the Hulu Kelang constituency, some PH voters are posting on Twitter that it is their chance to get rid of Azmin.

The sentiment is shared by many on Twitter. Users are certain Azmin will meet his political end in the Hulu Kelang seat. He is facing the hot favourite Juwairiya Zulkifli, who was one of his aides in the past.
