Trump threatens Iran with unprecedented force as US confirms military deaths

ON THE second day of US and Israeli strikes on Iran, President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning threatening unprecedented retaliation if Tehran follows through on its promise to strike harder than before.

US Central Command confirmed the first American military casualties, with three service personnel killed and five injured, reportedly in Kuwait during Iranian counter-strikes.

Trump defended Operation Epic Fury in media calls, refusing to set a timeline for the conflict, whilst Democrats demanded an emergency congressional debate.

The president said he plans to speak with Iranian officials in the coming days but expressed uncertainty over who remains in Iran’s leadership after the strikes. —Mar 2, 2026
