Two CIMB employees infected with Covid-19

CIMB Group Holdings Bhd confirmed that two of its employees based in Jalan Dato’ Bandar Tunggal, Seremban branch, have tested positive for Covid-19.

“Both employees had recently returned from a personal trip to Indonesia and had been in home quarantine since March 19 after returning to Malaysia,” the banking group said in a statement on March 23.

CIMB added that the staff were being treated at a government hospital and as a precaution, a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning of the branch was being carried out.

All those in direct contact with the affected employees have also been placed under home quarantine.

It is also carrying out contact tracing to identify all others with direct contact with the employees. The branch will be closed temporarily to facilitate the necessary cleaning procedures. — March 23, 2020
