Tycoon to Chegubard: “Remove defamatory postings or risk getting sued”

I WOULD like to refer to several claims made by Badrul Hisham Shaharin (Chegubard) against me. As I always said before, the Malays should stop quarrelling. Despite levelling accusations against me, he still has my respect.

I see him as a cikgu (teacher) fighting for righteousness.

But on his recent posting, however, I was taken aback. As a teacher and also a devoted Muslim, Badrul was so careless to resort to irresponsible cyberbullying acts by attacking, slandering and defaming my reputation, and claiming that I was involved in SMTrack Bhd’s radio-frequency identification (RFID) deal without carefully checking the facts.

Badrul’s FB posting

It was a total smear campaign, topped with slander and defamation.

Nevertheless, Badrul need not apologise to me and I hope when he reads this open letter, he will just gracefully remove the erroneous postings from social media.

My lawyer has advised that I can take legal action against Badrul and sue him but personally, I do not wish to do that as I respect him. However, in order to protect the name of my family, I must do it if he does not remove the postings.

In the event if I proceed with the legal suit, I will just get him to cover my legal fees, which will definitely cost a huge sum of money. If there are any excess to it, I will donate to charity.

I sincerely hope that when Badrul reads this open letter, he would remove the postings.

This open letter is being issued as a friend who does not know you. If you really think that I am a person with bad character and deserve to be thought a lesson, please bring this matter to the police or to the court but stop the cyber harassment.

My company secretary has filed a police report on this RFID’s postings, which is punishable under the Anti-Fake News Act. – Jan 31, 2022.
