UCrest partners MDC Asia to apply AI and IoMT to dental clinic chain

UCREST Berhad and MDC Asia Link Berhad (MDC) have signed a business partnership agreement to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) to MDC dental clinic chain’s iMedic platform.

MDC is the first dental clinic chain in the country to embark on the use of IoMT and 3D printing technologies to elevate the standard of care and to provide better healthcare management services to customers.

With 25 dental clinics largely in the Klang Valley area, MDC focuses on paediatric dental care for children in addition to general dentistry and orthodontics.

iMedicTM will serve as the Clinic Management System (CMS), which will allow patients to track vital signs, biomarkers, and manage their dental care via a mobile app.

MDC also intends to deploy a fundus camera with AILab from UCrest to diagnose diabetic retinopathy non-invasively.

“We are leading the transformation of dental care services with the use of AI, IOT, 3D printing and digital technologies to provide our customers with the highest level of care and services while improving the clinic operation efficiency,” said MDC CEO Dr Aslan Bacho.

“We focus on taking care of the dental health of the children with the purpose of developing a good dental habit since young, and continuously managing them, giving them a good dental health throughout their lifetime.

“With the digital technologies, customers can count on us in managing their dental health.” he added.

Meanwhile, UCrest chairman Eg Kah Yee noted that with the iMedic platform, dentists and health consultants would be able to develop a personalised dental plan for every customer.

“The AI technologies will be able to diagnose with high precision and predicting the development of the dental diseases of the patient, allowing early preventive measures to be taken,” he added.

iMedic is the leading digital health platform developed by UCrest currently used in multiple countries in Asia, Middle East, and US.

iMedic leads the market with its IoMT and AI empowering the patients to better manage their own health and increasing the productivity of doctors and clinics through AI and automation. – April 3, 2024
