Ukrainian and European leaders, meeting in Kyiv, have jointly called for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire aimed at ending the war.
The initiative has gained strong backing from US President Donald Trump, who participated in the talks by phone.
The leaders have warned of imposing ‘massive’ new sanctions on Russia should it refuse to halt the fighting.
